“Democratizing Luxury” at the MunaLuchi Coterie Retreat

Last month, I had an opportunity to give a main stage presentation at the 2023 MunaLuchi Coterie Retreat. My presentation title was “Democratizing Luxury.” I created the presentation after I finished reading the book, “Unreasonable Hospitality.”

“Democratizing Luxury” isn’t about the amount of money your client spends. It’s about elevating your daily interactions with your clients.

During that presentation, I asked the session attendees about the luxury experience they provide to their clientele.

I asked “What  do you regularly do? What are five (5) things you can you do to carry your every day tasks in a more thoughtful manner?”

  1. Understand Your Clients’ Needs, Wants and Pain Points. Pay attention to what is important to your clients. Use that information to focus on what matters to them most.
  2. Communicate Clearly and Consistently. Give your clients a sense of comfort by keeping them informed.
  3. Share Your Knowledge. Educate your clients on the ins and outs of the products and services you provide. Teach them how to stay engaged.
  4. Use Project Management Tools to Keep Everything Organized. Give your client some peace of mind by helping them to stay organized and on task.
  5. Be Humble. It’s difficult to provide good customer care if your ego is directing your actions.
