Do You Know Your Business’ Competitive Advantage?

Do you know your business’ competitive advantage? It’s your “it factor” that makes your product or services superior to your competition. It’s what separates you from your competition. So, as you promote your product or service to your target market, remember to highlight your competitive advantage. It will help your potential customers understand why they should pick you over your competition. For your reference, I noted below six factors that can make up your competitive advantage.

QUALITY. Do you provide a product or service that’s a higher quality to your competition?

SERVICE. Do you provide a service that is more customized or a “higher touch” than your competition?

SPEED. Can you deliver a product or service in a shorter turnaround time? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

PRICE. Can you successfully offer your service or product at a price that’s less than what your competition charges (and still maintain your business)?

LOCATION. Location is everything! Exploit it.

OFFERING OPTIONS. Do you provide more options than your competition? Market this because there is a niche market that needs to know this.

Hey there trailblazer!

I’m Kawania (kuh won nee ah) and I own and lead two successful businesses in the creative industry.

When I started Howerton+Wooten Events in 2007, I found myself “googling” a bunch of business questions that aren’t always discussed in business books. You know what I’m talking about, right?!? Those “start up” challenges that keep you up until the wee hours in the morning.

Believe me, I’ve been there — That’s why I launched this blog. To provide you with a resource you can reference with those “middle of the night” questions as you launch, run and scale your own successful (and sustainable) business. There’s lots of information in this blog, so bookmark it and hit me up if you have any questions. We all need a little guidance every now and then, right? Take care friend. Keep shining!

Love and Soul Always, Kawania
