In the past 10 days, I have had to deal with canceled events, postponed events, anxious clients, hyper-vigilant family members, family members who aren’t worried enough (in my opinion) and clients taking their time with their payment checks. (What’s up with that?) I have spoken to so many of you, so I know I am not alone here. So, how do we stay positive, calm and focused through all of this madness? Check out my three (3) quick recommendations (plus a bonus tip) below.
Right now, my business life is in a flux because of a combination of crazy circumstances beyond my control. I’m not sure when these challenges are going to end, so my mood is a little tense and even a little emotional right now, but I’m on a mission to inject some joy back in my business life. I know I am not the only business owner experiencing feeling this right now, so I have noted below six (6) straightforward ways to inject some joy into your business day.
Recently, I felt quite alone. — Not that “alone feeling” you get because you are in the house by yourself. — I’m talking about the “I feel like I am walking this entrepreneurship journey by myself and no one understands what I’m going through.” Do you know what I’m talking about? As you may or may not know, I keep a journal of the notes I take at various conference presentations. It was a pretty big deal and an exciting time for me, but it was an incredibly stressful time for me too. You see, I started to quietly believe that I didn’t deserve this new job — I became afraid that my new boss was going to see my work and start to think she made a mistake by hiring an “imposter” or a “fraud.”
